Dee
Dental Hygienist
Dee graduated from Camden County Community College in 1987 with an Associate’s Degree in Applied Science/Dental Hygiene and joined our team in 2012. With over 35 years of experience as a Registered Dental Hygienist, Dee continues to enthusiastically share her passion for dental health. She enjoys implementing the latest research and treatment modalities into her appointments, working with our patients to improve their oral health and caring for them like family. Dee resides in Green with her husband Vince and two teenage children, Jacob and Katelyn. They enjoy hiking in the Metro Parks, spending time on the Gulf coast of Florida and are avid Disney World fans. Dee has always been an animal lover and her household currently includes two chihuahuas (Sophie and Rocky) and three cats (Gracie, Max and Buddy). As a child and young adult, she enjoyed horseback riding and competing in horse shows.
Shelby
Treatment Coordinator
Shelby is one of Team Farah’s Treatment Coordinators. Shelby also works as an Administrative Assistant working the Front Desk – she’s usually the first smile you see when you walk in the doors! Shelby will greet you with her warm and gentle demeanor. She joined the team in December 2022. Before that, she had 2 years of dental experience and 10+ years of customer service experience. Shelby also has a degree in web design. Shelby gained her skills and experience at her previous jobs which have allowed her to be a complete “wiz” at Excel and helps keep our office organized, she is our “gofer”. After hours, Shelby enjoys spending time with her family, husband (Ronald) and Two children (Colt & Gracie) along with their “fur babies” Thor, Toby, Josie & Cash. When she doesn’t have her hands full with her family, she enjoys watching crime shows, reading and spending time with friends.
Staci
Treatment Coordinator
Staci is one of Team Basta & Farah’s Treatment Coordinators and Administrative Assistants who joined the team in May 2023. Prior to joining, she had 10+ years of customer service experience, 9.5 years were in the medical field where she worked as a medical secretary for an orthopedics office. Staci gained her skills and experience at her previous positions and is continuing her dental education at the Center for Advanced Periodontal and Implant Care as the primary treatment coordinator. Staci also handles marketing for our office including running Team Basta & Farah’s social media pages. Outside of her work with Team Farah, Staci enjoys spending time with her family, husband (John) and two boys (Jacob & Zachary) also her two dogs (Ginger & Sarge). Staci also loves photography as she owns her own photography business. She also enjoys anything that allows her to be creative including painting & sketching!
Taylor
Front Desk Receptionist
Taylor is an Administrative Assistant who joined Team Basta & Farah’s in August of 2022. She’s usually the first face you’ll see as she greets you at the front desk! She’s been in dental for two years and has been learning and expanding her knowledge from her previous employment to her new position here with us. She is a resident from Canton South who lends her talents to our office here in Canton. She has a very personal goal of being the best mother she can be to her son! Aside from the time she enjoys spending with him, she also spends her time enjoying her hobbies such as yoga and exercise, cooking and baking, and making crafts with her young son.
Karly
Front Desk Receptionist
With a warm and welcoming demeanor, Karly is the friendly face you’ll encounter at our front desk. With two years of experience as a medical receptionist, Karly brings a unique blend of skills and passion to our dental office. A graduate of cosmetology school, Karly is driven by a desire to help people look and feel their best, which complements her extensive background in customer service. Outside the office, Karly enjoys boating, listening to music, and spending quality time with her daughter. Her commitment to creating a positive and welcoming environment ensures that every patient’s visit is both comfortable and efficient.
Maria
Insurance Coordinator & Call Center
Maria has over 37 years in customer service. And additionally, has 6 years in the medical field as a medical assistant and phlebotomist. When Maria is not working with all of us at the Basta & Farah’s office, she enjoys gardening, bicycling, entertaining, cooking, baking and spending time with friends and family. She is also involved in several groups including a book club, card club and is active with an area garden club.
Melanie
Certified Dental Assistant
Melanie is a Certified Dental Assistant. She joined Team Basta & Farah in July 2023. Melanie is planning on taking her CODA exam in the spring of 2024 for her YOGA Certification. She has 5 years of experience in the medical field and 12 years of general dental experience. Outside of her work with Team Basta & Farah, Melanie enjoys spending time with her family, husband (Sam), children, grandchildren & her dog (Ella). She also enjoys hiking, yoga, disk golf & being outdoors.
Keyerron
Certified Dental Assistant
Keyerron is a Certified Dental Assistant working for Team Basta & Farah and has been a member of the team since September of 2022. Keyerron earned her dental assisting certification as well as an associate of arts in business and management. A self-proclaimed “military brat”, Keyerron has lived all over the country and most recently moved to Ohio from Monroe, Louisiana. In the future, Keyerron aspires to open a beauty spa with her sister as a business partner and would like to buy a house in the next few years. She also hopes to become a motivational speaker! Special skills that Keyerron has are a handle on American Sign Language and work as a certified eyelash technician. When she’s not assisting, Keyerron enjoys reading and writing, music (like learning to play the guitar), football (Saints fan!), ice skating, fishing, and spending time with her significant other.
Samantha
Dental Assistant
Recently graduated as a dental assistant, Samantha brings a fresh perspective and strong foundational skills to our team. Her six years of customer service experience have honed her ability to connect with patients and ensure they feel comfortable and well-cared for. Outside of work, Samantha is actively involved in her county’s 4-H program, where she enjoys contributing to community activities and advising our community’s youth. Her enthusiasm for both her professional and personal interests make her a valuable addition to our practice.
